Retaining an attorney to prepare these documents for you will usually cost thousands of dollars, if not more.
These are the documents contained in this package:
1. Employment Offer Letter. This should be used if you wish to extend an offer to an applicant.
2. Initial Documents to Provide to Employees – After They Accept the Employment Offer. These documents will request information from the employees. The documents should be completed by the employees and returned to the company.
3. Documents and Information Provided to Employees – After They Accept the Employment Offer. This will contain information on certain employment policies of the company.
These include the following:
- Equal Employment Opportunty and Harassment Policies of Company.
- Company Leave Policies for Employees
- Paid Vacation Days, Paid Holidays and Paid Sick Leave Policies
- Wage and Salary Policies.
INCLUDED WITH EACH DOCUMENT IS A COVER SHEET WHICH PROVIDES AN EXPLANATION OF THE DOCUMENT(S)
For paid vacations and paid holidays, you are not required to provide this to your employees. However, many companies give some form of these benefits for the enjoyment of the employees. On the other hand, a certain number of paid sick days are required to be given. A cover page is provided which will explain this.
For the leave policies, please understand that there are certain leaves which are required to be given to employees, only if you have a certain minimum number of employees. A cover page will be provided which explains this for each leave.
If you have the minimum number of required employees which require you to give this leave to your employees, then you will need to do so. However, if you don’t have the minimum number of employees for a certain leave, then it is your decision whether or not you wish to give this leave to your employees.
